Hephaestion and Alexander - Not just anyone. The one.

Okay this one is a bit different until recently nobody wrote about two men being in love but it's widely believed that in ancient Greece men didn't have sexual relationships with women until they were ready to settle down and have children but they often hung around with other men and it wasn't frowned upon for men to get close to each other.

There is no evidence that these two guys were ever lovers but they were certainly more than just good friends, Alexander himself said they were one mind with two bodies.

They definitely complemented each other and upon Hephaestion's death Alexander was inconsolable. I like to think that these two great heroes were also lovers but that just the romantic in me.
